When cultures clash, one of two things can happen: frustration, animosity, disdain for the other side; or with a little understanding of the beliefs and values motivating the behavior of each side, surprise, and something like hilarity. In most cases, the expectations of each side are simply not met, or worse, thoroughly oppose. This can lead to amusing anecdotes when one digs a little deeper into the confusion.
